Title: DOS mode fails coms and M2 drives
Post by: hcleveland on July 06, 2016, 06:47:31 am
Good morning,

I tried testing in dos on a Lenovo P50 and T460s and the M2 drives and COM tests have failed, however, when I boot to the service center, everything passes. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have attached the logs for reference.

Thanks,
Henry

Hello Henry,

We have received your support ticket and sent you an email. However I will post the content here as well.

Unfortunately, DOS support for new hardware is limited. As such, M.2 devices, and some serial port controllers (COM1), require extra drivers not built in to DOS.
For all new hardware we encourage the use of our bootable product to ensure maximum hardware compatibility. There is further information on compatibility in our user guide on pg. 27 regarding DOS driver support.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
