Hello,
I'm having some issues with the PC-Doctor USB and the HP Mini netbook line(HP Mini 210-3000SO). The test(as shown below) reports issues on Disk 0, but the HP Diag HDD test reports no issues. Is the test identifying the USB stick as HDD-0 or is there an issue with the disk that is going unreported by the HP HDD test.

Hello,
I am having our Engineers look into the error you are seeing. There are a couple of things I would like to request of you. First, could you please provide the tech support form? Follow the following steps to generate the form:
- Boot from the thumb drive
- When prompted, select the saved log location
- Select "R" to run DOS stand alone
- Under the drop down menu, select the tech support form
- Press F5 to run the form, then save the file
- Reply and attach the form to the thread, you can do so by clicking the additional options.
Second, while the DOS build is running in stand alone mode, select fixed disc from the diagnostics menu and press F2 to bring up another menu. Select load overlay and scroll down to number seven (7) and press enter. Exit the menu by pressing the esc key. Run all of the test on the screen by pressing ctrl-enter. I just want to make sure that you are seeing the same results running standalone that you received running from the menu.

I can't get PC Doctor in Standalone mode to save the log files even though I'm selecting C: PC-Doctor when prompted just after booting the USB stick.
-
What is the exact issue you are having with saving the log?
-
It doesn't save the file to the flash stick. It does however ask if I want to overwrite if I try to save the file more then once ???
There is no TEST.LOG on the USB after I've saved the file, I have also tried naming the file differently to no avail.
-
Are you giving the complete path when attempting to save? The USB stick is usually the C: drive. When prompted to save, from within stand alone you need to put in the full save path (i.e C:\test.logs). The prompt to overwrite the log is most likely being seen as the file is saved to the RAM drive by default.

Test log attached.
The HDD test log was identical to the one in the OP.

Thank you for the tech support form, I will pass this on to our engineering team and post again when I have been given more information.
Thank you,

Let me take this to appreciate you jbpcdr... thanks man!

Lefhau,
I haven't forgotten about you, I have been working with one of our Engineers the past couple of days. We have located hardware similar to the one you are running the program on. The engineer is currently running the code on that system and should have more information for me to provide to you later today.

Lefhau,
I received an update from the engineer looking into the issue you reported. When Service Center 7.5 was released there was limited support for Atom based systems in DOS. The failures you are seeing are a direct result of the lack of support which are causing time outs to occur in the code. Since the failures are a result of the lack of support, it should be safe to ignore them.
The engineer looking into the issue has already informed me that he was able to find the issue in the code and a fix (added support) will be made available in a future release of Service Center.

Thank you for looking into the issue James_PCD.
