Title: PC-Doctor reports "the system is not authorized to run current version of PCD"
Post by: kan on July 18, 2008, 07:52:38 am
Hello Dr. Blip,

My PCD was a bundled copy (provided by the manufacturer) when i purchased my HP pavilion desktop August, 2005. It had been running well till today. I printed a screen of the error message to a jpeg file and attached it below for your reference. I'm not sure if you can read Chinese. I tried to translate the error message literally as followed:

error message on my screen: “此机器未获得授权使用此版本的PC-Doctor。"
translation:"the system is not authorized to run current version of PCD"

Looking forward to your help.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Kan

Kan,

If a system restore or warranty work has been performed on the system this can happen.  Files being removed inadvertently may also cause this.

You can go to the HP website and download the latest version for your machine.  This will put everything back in order.

Thank you Fred for the prompt and clear reply.
i tried to search a downloadable version on HP support website but found nothing indeed.
Anyway, i'll try to seek solution from HP(China).

Thanks,
-Kan

Kan,

You're welcome.  If you can not find the download let me know and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction.
