Title: ATI Radeon test failed
Post by: javi on March 28, 2008, 11:05:21 pm
Hello,

I bought a HP-Compaq SR5220. I had a lot of problems with the display adjustment. I ran the PD-Doctor (pre-installed) test and reported the attachment. I sent the computer to the tech-service of HP, they installed a new firmware for the video card and returned the computer with a report saying that nothing happens. But I still having the display adjustment problems and the report from PD-Doctor is the same.

Could you help me?

Thanks a lot,

Javi

javi,

The report you attached certainly indicates a problem with the video card.  It is most likely the driver.  You said the service dept installed a new firmware and driver but the report shows driver version:
8.390.6.0, 7-9-2007
ATI Shows the current Version as:
8.3 Mar. 5, 2008
The ATI Driver can be found at:

HP support should be able to resolve this for you, that is their job.  Call them back and open a ticket and be persistent. HP has very good support, sometimes it takes a couple tries to get the right person.
