I recently downloaded what appered to be a update for my media player butit turned out to be a virus that was on one the songs that i was playing. I tryed to go to the normal site that i used to do virus checks but it kept sending me to random anti virus sites, it ended up freezing and when i when to restart my laptop wouldnt even get past to windows start up screen. i wont start in safe mode or any other mode is there any sugetions that can get this crap off my laptop?

You should have a good anti virus package installed on your system.  Try AVG Free, It has a boot disk recovery option that will allow scanning of systems in your state.  If you can't boot into safe mode the distribution CD and recovery console is an option.  You may also try last known good configuration.  Good luck.
