Title: Script debugger problem in Windows
Post by: john on January 04, 2010, 09:21:48 am
I am getting repeated script debugging errors in windows relating to PC Doctor, for instance:

PCDrPath = WshShell.RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DELL\HWDiag\PCDpath")

is highlighted in my debugger. I am only an advanced amateur. Can anyone help with this?

john,

What version of PC-Doctor are you running and what is your system make and model?

I wish I could answer that - I didn't even know PC Doctor was on my computer, which is a Dell Dimension 8400 running Windows XP. File search (including hidden)shows no results for PCD.exe, PCDr, PCDr Pro, PC Doctor, etc.

John,

Please go to the Dell website and download the latest version of Dell Diagnostics for your system. Hopefully a reinstall will correct the missing keys.

Dell diagnostics is maintained by Dell and uses elements of PC-Doctor to test the hardware.  The wrapper and install process is entirely maintaind by them and as such there is little I can do to help. Sorry.
