SC 10.5 Not seeing M.2 or NVMe M.2 on Dell Precision 5520, confirmed on 3 laptops in the environment. Issue occurs on bootable diags, and drive is not seen in testing or system information. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about this issue. At this time I'm unaware if this has already been reported.

The obvious answer is that the driver being used by those drives is not recognized by our bootable image. The best way to proceed is going to be gathering debug logs that you will be able to send over to us. Please follow the directions below in order to gather the debug logs.

    -Download the attached "scui.txt" file
    -Rename the file to "scui.sh"
    -Drop into update locations
        \pcdoctor\sc_lin\update\64
        \pcdoctor\sc_lin\update\32
-Run Service Center diagnostics in bootable and allow them to finish
-Now boot back into Windows and navigate to either:
        \pcdoctor\sc_lin\logs\64
        \pcdoctor\sc_lin\logs\32
-Take the contents of folder and put into a zipped folder for you to send our way

I would recommend sending over your debug logs via our Support Portal at http://www.pc-doctor.com/support/open-support-ticket?view=ticket&layout=open. Therefor any of your system information will not be made public.

Thanks,
Dan R.

I followed the instructions and it did not produce any log files.

Hello,

I was able to verify that those steps do work for producing debug logs.

Did you ensure that the file was renamed to "scui.sh"?
