Title: Upgrade Policy
Post by: Thomas K on July 26, 2017, 01:13:23 pm
I was just curious as to policy on upgrades.

If I'm still running 7.9 can I get an upgrade to 8.0?

Hey Thomas,

Sorry for the delay, I had to ask around since we don't receive requests like this often. After looking through our policies there is nothing in writing that would restrict you from being able to upgrade.

After speaking with my team it does sound like this is something we could take care of for you. I'm going to need to put some things together in order to deliver it, so I appreciate your patience in the mean time.

As a side note, it would be best that you give our Sales department a call to speak on benefits and changes from SC7.9 to our current version, SC 10.5. We also will be releasing version 11 in the near future. The only reason I mention this is due to the drastic changes that have occurred since version 7.9. Not only will you be lacking a lot of important features for today's technology using version 8, but also there are many many pieces of hardware in today's world that SC8 simply will not be able to support. You can reach our sales department during weekdays at (775)336-4000.

Anyways, the best way for me to deliver your SC8 upgrade would be via our support portal. Please visit www.pc-doctor.com/support and open a new support ticket. I can't promise an immediate response, but once I have everything put together I'll be happy to get you upgraded.

Hope this helps,
Dan R.
