Hellow. My name is Jose and I have a Dell XPS M1330 whith Dell Support Center, powered by PC-Doctor.

Every time I start the PC a popping up window appears originated by Microsoft Windows saying in spanish: "PC-Doctor Module has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available."

If I disable the Hardware programmed analisys of the Dell Support Center the popping up window doesn't appear when I start the PC, but if I start the Dell Support Center the popping up window appear again.

The problem signature is:

Hello Jose,

We are sorry for the frustration you are having with this crash.  We are aware of the issue that you are having and have a possible fix in place.  We are currently testing the fix prior to deploying it to the public.  There is another discussion regarding the issue at the URL below.  There is information there regarding a temp work-around (bottom of the page) to avoid the crash "nag" message until the fix has been deployed.

Hello James.

I'm not sure but if it helps you, I think that the problem started when I instaled the Windows Vista Service Pack 2

When I follow the link to get the updater and launch it, the updater runs for a bit then advises:

"Requirements for Download

This software package is not designed for use with this machine type."

So I'm guessing I need a different installer...  I am running Vista Ultimate SP2 32bit on a Dell XPS M1710.
The above occurs whether I run as Administrator or not.

Hello Pers,

Strange that you are seeing this message, I have the XPS M1730 system that I use and do not see this message.  Unfortunately there is only one installer for the product.

In order to better assist you, and if you are willing to assist in the matter, I would need you to grab some log files off of your system and send them through the forums as a private message.  You can obtain the files following the steps below:
1. Press the Windows key + R to open the run window
2. In the run window type %appdata%
3. There should be a PCDr folder, double click this folder to access it.
4. You should see an Installer and an Update folder, double click the update folder to access it.
5. Right click the logs folder and select the send to > a compressed (zipped) file menu option.
