My computer just crashed and I had to do a full system recovery.  After I did this a message keeps popping up.  The header is PC-Doctor 5 for Windows and underneath in the box it says:  The variable "parentdevice" cannot be null.

I am not very computer savy - I have done every update I can think of but I cannot fix this - can anyone help me?

tammywilliams43,

You appear to have an OEM version on your computer (A version of PC-Doctor installed at the factory by your system manufacturer).

Please call the manufacturers tech support for help with this error. I believe you will just have to download the latest version from the manufacturer’s website and install it on your system.  The support personnel will be able to show you where it is on their website and walk you through the installation.

If you have difficulty doing this please post the make and model of your system and I will point you to the proper place on your OEM's website.
