Hi,

I have been searching for the BIOS codes for an HP DC7900 SFF.
I found the link to http://www.postcodemaster.com

And just would like some help as to which BIOS HP use in this machine.
On www.postcodemaster.com for HP there is only Pavilion and Vectra,
Should I be using the Compaq BIOS Post codes instead?

Any help would be appreciated  Grin
Hagen.

hk.nz,

Yes you could try that. In the past I have also resorted to using non-specific POST codes from the BIOS manufacturer Like AMI or Phoenix.  I don't know who makes the BIOS fo the DC 7900 but it should give you a clue on power up.

From my experience, HP often uses BIOS manufactured by: AMI, Award, and Phoenix. As Fred noted, you should see some sort of string on POST that indicates the specific provider.
