Salary Range: 35,000-53,000 USD/yearQuality Assurance Engineer (I/II) Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for testing PC hardware and software in the QA lab.
Job Responsibilities * Learn company product and quality assurance processes, and perform comprehensive testing of PC-Doctor software releases on OEM customer hardware
* Independently troubleshoot issues and report results to others
* Continue updating knowledge of company products and quality assurance processes
* Conduct research and seek methods of improving processes
* Maintain, validate and update QA database information
* Create known-good and known-bad systems from components
* Create test fixtures and test scenarios
* Create master image of operating system installs/create scripts
* Test systems in batch processes
* Perform BIOS/firmware updates on OEM/customer hardware
* Update QA testing status information in the QA testing database
* Receive/send OEM hardware from/to customers, and oversee maintenance of lab equipment
* Create and maintain QA testing technical specifications, and procedure descriptions for processes
* Assist in creation/revision of QA documentation, test scripts, processes and other related materials
* Produce weekly reports that detail open issues, status and estimated completion date
* Work with company employees and customers to identify, anticipate and resolve issues
* Other projects/duties as assigned
Requirements Include * 4 year technical degree or related technology experience
* PC hardware knowledge, and currency with developments in PC hardware, firmware and operating systems
* Familiarity with Windows, DOS, and Linux operating systems
* Ability to quickly learn PC-Doctor features and capabilities, follow processes and adhere to procedures
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work cooperatively and congenially with others
* Ability to respond positively in a dynamic environment, work independently, and take initiative
For QA II Position * More than 2 years of professional quality assurance experience
