The great thing about this technology is that all kids will get to learn about Faraday Cages (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage). These are simple and easy to create devices that turn off annoying privacy intrusions that parents create for them.
A cell phone is trivial to turn off. (Wrap your phone in aluminum foil!) Websites will have to be created to describe the location of things like the Teensurance GPS. I'd give it a week at most. I'd say it's a great thing. I didn't know what a Faraday Cage was until my freshman physics class. If my kids learned about this stuff when they turned 16, it'd be great!
